About the event
Ahead Of The Game & The Wellbeing Campus have collaborated to deliver monthly fully funded meditation classes with different topics. The Wellbeing Campus is a partner of Ahead Of the Game Foundation and has successfully delivered two Mindfulness For Health 8week courses, with an ambudance of positive feedback from those diagnosed with Cancer.
The Mindfulness for Cancer class is a specially designed meditation class that aims to provide support and solace to individuals diagnosed with cancer and their loved ones. This class emphasizes the transformative potential of mindfulness in managing stress, fostering inner peace, and building resilience amidst the challenges of a cancer diagnosis.
Led by experienced and compassionate meditation instructor Louis, this class offers a safe and nurturing environment for participants to explore mindfulness practices specifically tailored to the challenges faced by those affected by cancer.
The primary theme of this class revolves around "Cultivating Resilience through Kindness & Compassion."
Join us in this transformative meditation class to discover the inherent capacity for resilience within, as we embrace the power of kindness and compassion on the path of healing and wellbeing.
Mindfulness training can have a beneficial impact on a range of different issues in life.
Clinical trials have shown that mindfulness meditation can be as effective as prescription painkillers in reducing pain, and can enhance the body’s natural healing mechanisms. Mindfulness can also reduce the anxiety, depression, irritability, exhaustion, and insomnia that arises from chronic pain and illness. There is also evidence demonstrating its effectiveness in helping people to manage anxiety, depression, chronic stress and overwhelm.
